Vanguard Church

We're an inner city church planting network that does work in Detroit, Kalamazoo, and Benton Harbor in Michigan and Sierra Leone in west Africa. We started doing street ministry in 1999 and began planting churches around 2009. We currently have eight ministry houses which we use as mission outposts for our bible studies, discipleship courses, etc.

Vanguard Church is an agent for change and restoration by inspiring followers of Jesus Christ to lay down their lives so the kingdom of God can be forcefully advanced.

Our target is to minister, reach out to, and partner with the beautiful people of Kalamazoo's Edison Neighborhood. Our focus for this ministry is on the whole person: spirit, soul and body. Jesus is our only hope for true transformation and freedom. We desire for all people to know their value and calling in the kingdom of God.
