Mission Church

The heart and calling of Mission Church are to make disciples who make disciples who make disciples resulting in churches starting throughout the Pacific Northwest. In our first 12 years, we’ve partnered to plant multiple churches throughout the world, and we’ve launched new churches throughout the state of Oregon in the cities of Bend, Redmond, Madras, Portland and online.

We are changing our model of ministry and learning to multiply quickly to reach our entire state and region for Jesus Christ. Many areas of the Pacific Northwest are only about 3% Christian. We are implementing a disciple-making movement that will help us reach 1% of the 11 million people in the Oregon and Washington areas in the next 10 years. We are starting new discipleship groups that will multiply to over 7,300 groups to reach 110,000 people for Christ.

We are also committed to partner with other churches to plant churches that plant churches within the Pacific Northwest and across the world.

OUR HOW …

1. We will obey God’s word because it offers light where there is darkness; hope where there is none.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16–17

2. We will pray with boldness and trust in God because he cares about every part of our lives.

“And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.” – 1 John 5:14–15

3. We will inspire believers to be true followers of Jesus.

“Then Jesus came up and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” – Matthew 28:18–20

4. We will serve. We will use our day to day life to serve others and talk about God.

“The greatest among you must be a servant. But those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” – Matt. 23:11–12

5. We will help willing people share God’s Word with their family and friends.

“Then he brought them outside and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.’ Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him, along with all those who were in his house.” – Acts 16:30–32

6. We will walk alongside, training and equipping believers to learn and obey God’s word.

“It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God—a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature.” – Ephesians 4:11–13

7. We will give generously because God has given generously to us.

“Freely you received, freely give.” – Matthew 10:8b

“Every one of you must give as you are able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you.” – Deuteronomy 16:17
