First Baptist Church Cullman

This church was here in Cullman long before any of us were born. It is difficult to imagine the Cullman skyline without the steeple of First Baptist pointing heavenward. We have inherited a great tradition of faith and faithfulness. Now the challenge lies with us, the current generation, to invent new and creative ways to carry the ancient truth to the world.

Our great need is to know God–and the scriptures are sufficient to do just that. Sunday after Sunday, we need more than just good advice—we need good news. Biblical, applicable, clear messages that are centered on the gospel will help us become well-nourished on the Word of God.

The more we realize God’s goodness, the more joy floods our lives, and spills onto our neighbors and friends (and even enemies). The hope is that our joy increases until the return of Jesus, where God’s people (those saved sinners) enter into an eternity of joy. Joy is, as C.S. Lewis writes, the serious business of heaven.

Psalm 96 charges us to declare God’s glory among the nations.

Starting from this patch of Alabama called Cullman to the uttermost parts of the earth, Cullman First Baptist Church exists to declare God’s glory among the nations.
