About Crossroads Church
At Crossroads, we believe in doing life together. That means that we grow together, laugh together, cry together, and push each other to do better together. Did you catch the key word? TOGETHER.
Be sure to read our core beliefs to see what we are all about:
Biblically-Based
God's Word is our guide, authority and conscience in everything.
Christ-Centered
Jesus is Lord and head of the church, and it is for Him that we exist. Full devotion toormal for the believer.
Grounded in Grace
We acknowledge our complete dependence on the goodness and grace of God in everything. We ourselves have benefited from the kind intention of His will; therefore we eagerly extend it to others.
Passionate About Prayer
We do not believe that prayer is merely preparation for the work. We believe prayer is continually an essential part of the work.
Authentic in Our Walk
Authenticity, integrity, openness and sincerity will define us. "The goal of our instruction is love, from a good conscience, a pure heart and a sincere faith."
Committed to the Uncommitted
We believe that lost people matter to God; therefore they matter to us. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and has left us here in part to do the same. Our individual lives and corporate efforts will reflect this conviction.
Committed to Community
Community membership requires active engagement in accountable, encouraging relationships. Life-change occurs in groups where individuals share and spur each other toward spiritual growth. Here participants enjoy the benefits of a larger church and yet enjoy the relational growth that occurs in small, safe settings. Partnership in our body calls for a tangible commitment to our purposes and our vision.
Relevant and Innovative
Although Scripture doesn’t limit us to specific music styles or verbal presentation, it does tell us to spread the message “into all the world” to make disciples. This calls for careful scrutiny of all practices—old and new—and readiness to change within biblical boundaries so that we, “by all possible means might save some." We value flexibility and innovation balanced with tradition, continually assessing whether each practice serves its biblical purpose; if not, and Scripture allows, we seek a better way.
The Word of God
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us. The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired nor contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full-gospel ministry. No claim is made that it covers all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.
